Serratiopeptidase enzyme is a protease enzyme having proteolytic activity which have very important properties like antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, fibrinolytic (blood thinning) properties.

Serratiopeptidase enzyme is also commonly known as serrapeptase and serralysin.It is isolated from a bacteria found in the silkworm intestine. In the US, Europe and Japan, serrapeptase is classified as a dietary supplement.
